Celebrating 21 years as Raleigh's
longest running independent wine store,
The First Wine Shop Champagne Preservation System in NC!
Seaboard Wine is proud to be the first wine shop in NC to offer a Champagne & sparkling wine preservation system for pouring wines by the glass! Our new Le Verre de Vin dual preservation system keeps our still wines fresh for days by a precisely controlled vacuum created within the bottle (without the use of Argon or Nitrogen gases), plus it keeps our Champagnes & sparkling wines fresh and bubbly by maintaining the pressure equilibrium like that of an unopened bottle.
Best of all, our wines are hand poured by our staff, so we can talk about the wines and answer any questions. We are also not constrained by how many bottles our "machine" can hold, so we can offer more wines and sparkling wines by the glass than most wine shops. This is the same wine preservation system used at the Players' Retreat in Raleigh, who feature over 100 wines by the glass. Our selections will change often, so stop by and enjoy a glass or flight of wine soon!
Yes, we will ask for ID if necessary, but our wines are poured by friendly staff, not machines. We can personally guide you through our selections which stay fresh with the Le Verre de Vin preservation system, utilizing precise vacuum technology instead of nitrogen or argon gas. This unique system does not constrain our glass pour selections to how many bottles a machine can hold.
Plus, we have the first retail sparkling wine preservation system in NC, so you can always try some bubbles at our bar! Choose from red, white, sparkling and rosť wines in 2oz and 4.5oz pours. Build your own tasting flight or enjoy a glass of your favorite. Featured wines change often, so check out the chalkboard in our bar for new additions!
New Wines At Our Bar! We have a selection of new white, red, rosť & sparkling wines at the bar Mon-Fri from 12-7pm. Seaboard's "Flight" School: Try a 1.5oz flight of three for $7, or buy a 4oz glass of your favorite and relax while you shop. Selections change weekly.
Every Saturday from 12-4 (unless noted otherwise) we feature a selection of wines for you to sample at no charge. It’s a great opportunity to learn about different regions and varietals, and simply to try something new. The importer, distributor or wine maker will be on hand to answer any questions and give you detailed information about the wines. Check back often for any additions, changes and updates of events. Make Seaboard Wine Warehouse a part of your Saturday routine!
Our comfortable tasting bar is open Monday-Friday from 12-7, serving a fun selection of new arrivals from around the world available for sale in tasting flights (three 1.5oz pours) or 4oz glasses. Sample before you buy, and receive discounts on the featured wines to take home by the bottle. Plus, every day during regular store hours, choose from over 2000 wines in stock and enjoy a bottle for just the retail shelf price. No other wine bar in the Triangle can offer this level of selection, price and service!
Every month we feature the works of a local artist in our Tasting Bar Gallery, and we are open until 8:00 on First Fridays so you can meet the artist, check out their work and enjoy a glass or flight of featured wines for sale at the bar.
